governer?

does my 89 formula that originally came with a 5.0, and now has an 85 camaro 5.7 stickshift engine (just the engine was from a stick but isnt in my car) have a speed governer? the fastest ive got it to is 113mph, but im not sure if its got much left or thats just the end of it? my friend has a 305, its an 89, he calims his tops at off at 115.

In your quest for twice the speed limit, either chip the computer (contains covernor) or dump the crappy computer alltogether and go carbed.

you mean go carbed, as in put in a carburator? would taht be easier than screwing with the computer?

No. Doing the chip would be easier and cheaper, not to mention that you'd learn another aspect of your car. Carbs have gone the way of the dodo bird, why take a technological step backwards?
