The black box is your cruise control module. The other two are the power antenna relay and the rear defroster relay.

The black box is the timer for the intermittant wipers. All the cruise control electronics are built into the servo under the hood. I could confirm the relays pourpose if you could tell me what markings are on it and what color wires go to it.

The black box with AC on it is the cruise control module. I recently had to repair my 86 TA cruise control and I had to test voltage readings at that module.

do you have intermittant wipers too? What voltages did you read there? Pull the plug out of it and see if your wipers still work.

Serpent99,

I also have a 89 Iroc-z, I also have the GM service manual. The black box is your cruise control module. Your intermittent wipers are controlled by the wiper motor on the firewall in the engine bay. If you would like to have it, I can send you some information concerning their locations.

I just checked my car, sure enough, I got my wires crossed. It sure was the cruise control module.

I guess I'll be ripping that box out, I plan to use the cruise control servo from the 95 roadmaster that I got my motor from.

Sorry for the confusion.
