Don't know about the 12 volt power to the radio off hand, but the audio alarm system tells you when you open the door with the keys in the ignition or leave the lights on and stuff like that.

I had the same problem recently & it was driving me nutzz!!!! I checked all the fuses & they were good. Well, I did some thread searching & found this out. Turns out there is a pull down fuse panel right by the gas pedal area. Sure enough I had a blown fuse on it. It was labeled "arc radio" Go check it out in this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ht=radio+power

i have a 91 and there is no arc radio fuse on the convience center, already checked there. I need to get a volt tester thing so i can test the fuse block.

Ok, your power to the yellow wire comes off the Ignition power feed which runs into the fuse panel under the dash by the left knee. It is a 10 AMP fuse marked radio on the fuse block and is hot in run and accv. If the fuse is good, then you have a broken wire somewhere under the dash.

its not the switched yellow wire that is the problem, it is the constant orange one

Okay,

Sorry, Don't know where I got yellow from The orange wire feeds off the accessory fuse and the same applies for it as well as the yellow wire. If there is no power there, you have a broken or shorted wire somewhere in the harness.
