Thats fine. For the info part. The parts are only temporarly b/c i realy didnt know what i was doing but i knew what i wanted. I going to remove it and do a cleaner install but this is what i used temporarly.
-1 Medium size green LED (green b/c dash lights are orange)
-(3) 10k ohm resistors-paralled (only ones i had around)
-22awg wire
I grounded the (-)"short side" of the LED to my radio ground and connected the (+) "long side" of the LED to the switch leg of my fan switch. I put the (3) resistors inbetween the radio ground and the (-) side of the LED.
Ill post pics as soon as i get back to my car.

You can use a single 1K5 to 4K7 resistor depending on what color LED you use. 5mm is the "standard" size LED.

Finally got some pics. Please excuse the mess. Im in the process of making a blank plate to cover the radio hole. Im going to put my switches there. Im also going to install my rs232 connectors to the plate for my laptop so i can have a mess free dataloggin'.
I guess my car had a dummy alarm at some point because where the green led is it used to be a red on. I pulled it and installed the green one b/c the gauges are kinda red and i want the led to catch my eye so i will quit leaving my fan on.
The rear defroster switch (dont work) just above the led is my fan switch. Im going to move it to the cover plate once i get it installed.

Sorry for not explaining.
1.5K is the same as 1K5. However on schematics, after being photocopied, etc, the decimal may be overlooked and appear as 15K, so some people put the K in place of the decimal. Both methods are commonly used.

Seems like you guys have this sorted. I connected 12V (resitor in place) to one side of the LED, and the other side to the GROUND wire of my manual fan switch which is also spliced into the ECM fan control wire.
This way the LED will light up when the ECM turns it on, or when you turn it ON.

Could one mofidy this or use it so one can use a manual fan switch that already has a LED built into it ? i.e. one of those switches that have a light in it

hmmm so I would tap into green/white wire on the relay and connect it to the switch ... run one wire from switch to ground.. and one wire from switch to a power source ?
Would this work as true on/off with light .. i.e. fan on - light on .... fan off - light off ... ?
