Relocated my battery now i have noise in the speakers???
Okay guys i just finished relocating my battery to the passenger side in the spare tire well. Well after everything is together and whatnot i was riding around tonight and im gettin a whining noise in my speakers. i have the ground for the battery on the same spot for the ground as my amps. the stock wire has to wires for ground. onefor the motor and one for the chassie. do i have to connect a wire to the motor from the battery or what? let me know thanks. its not that annyoing but i just wanna get rid of the noise.

move the ground cable away from the amp ground, do you have a large gauge cable from the engine to the body?
if it still makes noise, you can get a ground loop isolaler that plugs into your RCA's that should work then

Did you ever fix the speaker noise, I did the same thing, relocated the battery now I have noise in speakers, when ever I turn on something electriacal, like pressing the brake, head lamps etc..all grounds are good.

The longer the wires from the battery the more likely you will pick up noise. It's common in two way radios to get alt whine when the wires are not attached close to the battery. An auto battery is an excellent filter for such problems, but when you lengthen the wires and get further from the low impedence of the battery you will increase the likelyhood of ignition noise as well as alt whine. If it's a problem there are commercially made filter chokes to reduce it, just get one for the maximum current the stereo draws.

Or where can I get them?
