Dome Light & Radio Wont work- Strange
went to go jump in my car tonight to come home- i shut my alarm off before i open the door and it gives me the 4 beeps ( meaning the alarm had gone off ) i had been gone all day and forgot to lock the door, stupid me.... I open the door, and the first thing i notice is the dome light didnt come on, no biggie, nothings missing in car, i figured the bulb died... then i start up the car and the radio doesnt work either......
what gives? perhaps a fuse blew ??? are the radio and dome light run on the same genral fuse? i couldnt check for blown fuses since its dark, and i wouldnt know where to start ....
any ideas?

I'm not sure but whenever you have a power faluire always check the fuses first. I know the dome is connected to the horn and power doorlocks. Its a 15 if that helps

the dome light and the constant power for the radio are the same fuse, plan on reseting your stations and clock. If its and after market stereo it most likely wont work without the constant power.

If your horn doesn't work either it is probably the 20 amp acc. fuse. Just wondering if you have or had anything pluged into your cig. lighter. if it goes bad and grounds it will blow the fuse everytime you put one in.

i checked evrey fuse, none of them are burnt, i even went as far as changing the fuses labled radio, and still nothing...
i never had anything plugged in to the cig lighter.
parked it at my girls house, 4 hours later go back in, and this all happens.

I am having the exact smae problem as you. My dome light, Courtesy light, cigar lighter, radio, power locks all dont work. I've checked the fuses. 2 of the fuses are metal fuses and i cant tell if they're blown are not. If you find a solution to this PLEASE let me know and if i find out how to fix it ill let you know.

i found a blown fuse the " courtesy" something or another... a yellow 25 one, ( top right of the Red Radio one )... kept buying em and kept blowing evrey time i turned the car on....
i go to pick up my cig lighter and it is about 600 degress or so, ( melted the skin right off my fingers , ouch ) but anyway, i let it cool off, pry it out with some pliers, and disconnect the plug for the cig lighter, and vala- Fuses arent blowing anymore, and evreything works so far.
hope that helps...

also, the big metal fuses your talking about probably arent gonna fix that.. i was told when they " blow " , you'll hear a pop noise, and when they cool off they will continue working, but thats what i was just told.
