Starting difficulty

I just bought a brand new battery for my T/A--has 650 cca's. Car won't start unless I jump it from another car. Even w/a new battery. Vats is fine.
Anyone have an idea what might be causing this and why?

Wish I knew the answers too, cause I still have this problem once I wire my car up properly I can diagnose it. Check all of your connetions and grounds would be my first idea. I lost all power once because of one wire.

It's been such a long time since I put this car together-I forgot alot of what I did.
I know there's a big jumble of grounds on the pass side head--which are tight. and at the time I made sure all grounds had good metal to bolt to.
So you think it could be a bad ground? I turn the lights on w/the car off and they're as bright as they should be(or is it because of a seperate ground for them?).

Might be your starter.. I had that problem bofore.. I needed extra juice from another car or my charger to start the thing and it was my old starter going out.

check all grounds on your block....check your starter, battery and alternator. let us know after all of that has been done.

assuming all your fuses are in and you haven't done any major electrical modifications there isn't that much to the starting process. also check your connections at your battery as well. i had a cracked clamp on one of the posts. couldn't even see it but it was causing interference with a good connection.
