How do I get headlights and foglights to work seperately?
Is it easy to rewire the car so that the headlights are seperate from the fog-/front blinker lights? I'm not sure how they worked stock, but now the fog-/front blinker lights can only be turned on when the headlights are. Would like to have just the fog/blinker lights on without the headlights.
How can I change this?

lol this remeinds me of how my cars electric fan was rigged up.. i had it hooked up so i could turn the fan on and off by using the fog light switch but i had to have atleast my runninglights on to get poer to the fan... this also eritated the shiznit out of me aswell.. id have to say just by pass the old wiring and re wire it to the fog light switch and make it so the fog light switch gets power all the time instead of getting power from the headlight switch... run power from a dirct power source to the switch and you should be fine... again use the fog light switch dont make it look trailer trashy and make a new switch for the lights that will just make it look like welfare

Yes, this would definately work... but I really don't want to rewire the whole thing. And I really don't have a clue how to take my interior apart to get to the cables. Seems like too much trouble. Would just like to use the original cables if possible.
So did the lights work seperately stock?

no the lights do not work sepratly stock... you have to wire up a constant + to the switch so it doesnt only get power to it when your headlights/running lights are turned on

I searched and found this diagram... but I'm not very good at electronics so can't really read it that well. Is this the stock setup (check pic)? Is it possible to "fix" it in the enginebay area so they work seperately? Or do I have to take the interior apart to get to the switch?

Maybe Im missing something here, but the way my fog lights are rigged, you have to turn on the Parking lights, and then you can run the fog lights. I am not the original owner, so maybe they wired it differently that stock? But is this not exceptable?? I never used my headlights when I lived in Ontario, I always just ran my fog lights. When I moved to Alberta, the Cops had an issue with me not using my headlights so I had to stop.

Anyways, I believe this is how you will need to wire it. If I am incorrect, someone will point this out. You are basically going around the relay switch from the Parking switch. To do this right, you will want to get in where the switch is behind the dash. Its not too much work, Ive had my dash apart a few times.
Dont take a wire straight from the battery, because when you shut the car off and the lights are on they beep at you to let you know, but if the power is straight from the battery and you dont realize you left them on, you will come back to a dead battery.

When u say park, do you mean that the "eyelids" open? Because that's what happens on mine in park, and the park lights in the headlights turn on. Or do you mean that on ur ride they don't open and the park light is just the front blinkers???
I would like to drive with no headlights and just foglights and blinkers... looks cooler that way

Yes, my car looks like the pic you attacked. THe bliinkers are on, but the headlights dont actually raise. My headlights dont raise until I turn on the headlights. I have 3 buttons, 1 off, 1 park, and 1 lights. If I just turn the park on, then I get the blinkers, and the option of turning on my fog lights.

Then how do u suppose my car is wired? Do I have special headlights with park bulbs in them? I think the previous owner said they were from a chevy van. I'm pretty sure there's some homemade wireing done right behind the front blinkers... how the heck have they done this???

If you don't feel comfortable changing the wiring, don't try since you can cause a lot more problems messing around if you do.
Have a friend that knows electrical wiring help you out. He should be able to trace the route of the wires to find out exactly how they are wired.

Where are the fusable links / relay?
In relation to the FOg lights where are the fusable links and where is the relay located physically in the car. My fogs suddenly stopped working. I have checked the bulbs and they are fine. I also have no idication at the dash that they are on. Any suggestions?
