Where do these battery cables go to?

Ok, I have the main 4 gauge wire that runs from the battery to the starter. I also have a smaller 8 gauge wire that runs from the battery to a circuit breaker??? near the radiator support by the passenger side headlights. Then, coming out of this, circuit breaker type thing, there is another 8 gauge wire that goes to a small ring terminal. It isn't long enough to go to the starter. Where does that go to, anyone know? Thanks, Paul Moore

I went back out and looked at it again, and I am pretty sure that the small wire goes to the alternator so that is where I have it hooked up for now(there is no battery in the car at this time). Please let me know if this is the right place for it. Thanks again, Paul Moore

Yes, that is the correct final destination for that wire. The circuit breaker thing that you are mentioning is a junction block for wires and fusible links coming off the battery.
