Connector with red and black wires in trunk
In my trunk, on the driver's side of the pulldown mechanism, there is a two-spade connector on something that looks like a switch to me. Like a down-stop switch. The two wires are red and black. The black one goes to the driver side harness and the red one goes around the passenger side somewhere to the front (didn't have time to check). What is it?
Is it possible that this is a switch that disables the tonneau release on my convertible if the trunk is open?
Thanks
Lou

That's possible. I don't have schematocs for 'verts, so I cannot verify that. Is the car a factory convertible, or a conversion?
It's also possible that an alarm system was installed. Does the wiring appear to be in the factory harness, or added later? Got a photo?
