Factory Harness Connectors

Where can I get new connectors for various sensors? I was fixing a broken vacuum line today and broke the connector for the MAP and my Fan Switch connector was apparently broken by the last owner. If I can still get them from GM, part #s would be great.

Also, any special tools that I'd need (besides the WeatherPack tool that Summit sells... if I even need that) to replace these connectors?

TIA.

MAP connector part# 12085502.

Fan switch connector part# 12102621.

Both of these come with leads and butt connectors to splice into the harness. For a clean install I would get the weather pack tool and reuse the stock wiring in the new connectors.

Thanks!

Yeah, I planned on using the wiring that's there, it loosk ok... and I'd rather NOT do any splicing.

What's your source for the PNs, BTW, may be handy in the future to know where I can look this stuff up (I have the 82-92 Parts Catalog, but didn't know what group to even start with).

Unfortunately (or fortuantely when plugging things in) the weatherpack connectors are keyed. If you buy from the aftermarket, you won't get ones that are keyed correctly. You can cut the plug with a groove that works.

The part numbers given look like GM numbers to me.

I bought stuff from these guys: weather packs

Really happy with the service, best prices I found too. Make sure to buy plenty of the pins, even if you end up with extras, cheaper than trying to find it locally!

Again, these won't be keyed for things like TPS and MAP, but that can be rectified with a razor blade. If you buy a "pair" of connectors, then no issues, but most things are dead-ended in the wiring harness.

Go to www.acdelco.com they list all the connectors and they come preassembled. They usually run around 15-20 bucks but it eliminates dealing with the weatherpack.

I have just about every connector for the thirdgen engine harnesses. I've been building brand new TPI harnesses for a few years, so I have large quantities. I could put together a pigtail (like GM often does), or sell the individual components (connector, terminals, cable seals, terminal position assurance locks, etc). If you're interested, please contact me privately because I am not permitted to sell anything in the forum. mike@s10wildside.com

I've used Waytek Wire : Electrical Wiring Supplies & Industrial Products and I've been very happy. Their parts are very cheap, but you have to buy at least $5 of each component. I guess you'll always have extras.
