Help please (VSS)
I've been searching this site for a while looking for a solution to my situation but just got confused
Here goes: I have a 85 Z28 drivetrain I'm installing into a 90RS which originally was a 3.1 car. I've swapped over the complete wiring harness and ECM (#1226870) but how do I connect my VSS to the ECM and drive my speedo? I have the 3.1 engine and auto tranny with its electronic VSS so I switched the tailshaft onto my original 700R4 where do I go from here? Is it possible to simply use the 90 VSS and connect it to my ECM and speedo? Or did the 90 RS come with a buffer and can I use the cruise control output of it or a different buffer to connect to my 85 ECM? Else can I just get a pre 90 electronic VSS and install it connecting directly to the ECM and speedo? Sorry for all the questions I'm really confused by this issue!
As part two of this question what if anything needs to be done to use the 90 v6 tach with my 85 tpi setup?

The output of the orginal VSS buffer should feed the signal into the ECM.
