has anyone ever had a problem with an ecm fuse?? as i was leaving a parking lot today i put my car in reverse and it cut out,upon further inspection i noticed that the gauge check wouldn't work and decided to check the ecm fuse,it was blown i replaced it with 2 more which also blew.i was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem. this is the fuse which sits near the battery. it's a 91 trans am 5.0 tpi.any help as always is much appreciated.

 

That fuse also supplies main power to the fuel pump - something else to check.

 

That fuse probably powers more than just the ecm. I posted a wiring diagram that includes that fuse here only a few days ago. It's for an 89, and you have a 91, but I would say (ignoring the MAF stuff) it should be largely the same.

 

Check for a bare wire up at the fuel pump relay, that kept blowing the fuse on my 89 Irocz until I found it and replaced the wires.
