My speedometer and odometer dont work on my '88 camaro. It has a 350 chevy out of a '77 camaro and a 700r4 transmission. I've went back and read the posts about speedometers but still cant figure it out. please help!

I had a similar problem. bottom line is this, your odometer doesn't work cause your speedometer doesn't work. I have a 92 so mine was an electrical unit and the problem ended up being a fried resistor in the circuitry on the back of the dash unit. Since yours is an 88, i believe it should be a mechanical speedo, so i would start by checking that the cable hasn't pulled itself out of the housing in gauge panel. After that, you might want to check to see that the cable isn't kinked. hope this helps...
