HEI cap Help simple ?

I am getting rid of my cc-distributor and found a non-cc one cheap on the for-sale board but the guy has one without the cap , coil and rotor will my stuff work on it . Are all HEI caps coils and rotors the same .My cap has only the plug from the distributor to the cap , the white tac wire & a pink battery wier in it . If not I am looking for a complete vacuume advance distibutor for my 85 Iroc in good working condition . Thank You .

If you have the coil-in-cap distributor, your cap, coil and rotor should work. If not, you can pick up new ones at any parts store.

Computer controlled distributors had a separate connector for the ECM signals.

With no vacuum advance it will be a computer-controlled unit. There will be a 4 pin connector coming out of the base of the distributor for the ECM.
