It is possible that the bulbs in the dash are burned out or missing. Also have you checked to see if the "turn signal cam follower" in the sterring column is missing or broken?

I have had to make many repairs on my cluster due to broken traces. If the lights aren't blown and you end up having to pull your instrument cluster, dont forget to check the traces on the back. You will notice alot of "pathways" or traces. You can check these with a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM). most DVOM's have a feature where they will beep if there is a short between the probes. Simply place one probe at the start of the trace and the other at the end... you should get a beep on everyone to indicate shorts, if not then you will need to do some repair work. Msg. back and i will outline how i repaired mine. Good Luck!

Like Trickster mentioned, you may need to inspect the cancelling cam and springs in the steering column. It's a good excuse to open it up, clean and relube everything, and maybe snug up the tilt base bolts.

To repair broken circuits, I run a jumper wire from the bigining point to the end point of the circuit. So, being careful not to melt the plastic, soldier a 24 AWG wire from the start pad to the end pad. I usually use a razor blade to scrape some of the protective coating off the trace. You should end up with an exposed peice of copper to soldier to. Soldier one end of the wire to the section you scraped. Repeat this process on the other side of the broken circuit. Lastly, check the circuit using your DVOM to make sure it is good- you should have 0 ohms across the circuit. I finish it off by running electrical tape down the length of the wire sticking it to the "circuit pad" One more tip: There is a plastic panel that covers the bottom of underside of the steering column where it goes into the dash. Make sure to take this off as the screws may tear some circuits as you pull the cluster out. Good Luck
