Some vendors make remote starters that work on manual transmissions, I have one on my Camaro.

Manual choke seems to be the only obstical for a remote start on carbed motor. Might be the reason for fuel injected motors only.

Mine is a CompuStar

http://www.compustar.org

On the products page, mine is similar to the security system with remote start on top of the page, changed since I bought mine. BTW, it is not a self-install (not allowed by CompuStar for liability reasons).
