Switched to T-5 wiring issue
The Automatic has a 3 wire connector with diferent color wires than the colors of the 2 wire for the manual......
Is the wire color diference because the automatic harness is for a digital dash and the manual is for analog gauges?
Anyways my question is how can I wire the harness for the Automatic with the digital dash to a manual trans?
Trying to install now so speed is of the essence.....
Thanks in advance

What color wires ?
The only three I can think of offhand on an auto is like a ppl, tan & blue one a single harness plug. That's for the torque converter lockup.
The two wires on the t-5 are green & blue IIRC and that's the reverse light switch.
Speed is recieved via cable or VSS.

On your park/neutral switch that was on your original auto shifter, there should be a corrosponding blue and green wire. This is the reverse light switch wiring. The switch is simply doing the same thing the light switch in your house does.
IIRC (and don't quote me on this one), whatever was in the tailshaft (VSS) from the auto should go into the t-5 w/o wiring or changing anything.

I have the VSS hooked up....That's not the problem.... Are you saying I can run the the Green and Blue wire that plugged into my (automatic) shifter into the plug that goes into the tranny for the back up lights?

Yep.
With the key in 'run' (if you have juice that is..).. if you jump the blue and green wire on the p/n switch, the reverse lights will come on.
The blue should be hot and is tied to the turn signal flasher wire (turn b/u fuse... hot in 'run'). The switch (p/n or on the t-5) just makes the connection (like a light switch).

No prob... you wouldn't believe the lengths I went through to figure out it was only a stupid on/off switch when I rewired my 'bird.... as I forgot to label the wires and thought they were some important ECM wires...
