fog light setup
ok what i want to do is change the 2 inner brake lights to fog lamps basicly turn the 2 inner brake lights on when its foggy, but i want to keep the 4 brake lights working when clear, but i was thinking if i just connect a power supply to the 2 inner brake light to turn them on when its foggy, then i have to brake ill blow a fuse. Anybody got any ideas i was thinking relay or something like that - i live in the UK we need these sort of things would have thought you guys over there would as well

Sorry, don't mean to offend but WTF?
They would probably last until the first trooper came along and wrote you up. Ever thought about why it's illegal operate a vehicle with the taillight busted out? Because blind's the driver behind you. Another thing, someone coming up behind you in fog or rain might think they are about to hit head-on and swerve left and actually hit head on with someone heading the opposite direction.

i live in the United Kingdom (UK) over the pond so to speak its law for every vehicle to have a rear fog light, when i bought mine they just stuck a light on the bottom of the rear bumber which looks like cr@p so i wanna change it
dont you guys have fog lights on the rear of vehicles over there?
the pontiac has 4 brake lights on the rear and as long as 2 min are used for brakes you can do what ever with the others the MOT'S here are tight any little thing fails

WHEN IM TRAVLIN BETWEEN THE FARMS, I BRAKE FOR HOGS AND FOGS
You probably don’t mean the same
type of fog lights that are in the front.
You probably mean marker lights that
are brighter than those dim “parking” lights.
Fog is rare in these parts and I usually am
the fastest vehicle on the road so I’m not
gonna get chrome horned. But when I need
to go slow in heavy fog I hit a switch which
illuminates my turn signals steady (yellow) .
This alerts cell phone blabbers and other
drivers not paying attention that they’ve
got a ‘yellow flag’ ahead. You can achieve
the same effect. Just wire a switch to a
couple of those brake lights. No relay needed
because when you apply the brakes and illuminate
the brake lights all hot points will be 12 volts,
as they would be.
Use an illuminated switch so you won’t
forget to turn them off when the daze-haze is gone.
.
