TURN SIGNAL CAM, HOW TO GET TO IT
i have a problem with my turn signal cam, i can fix that part, the hard part is gettin to it. i took off the steering wheel and the dash out and i dont see how i can get behind the black plastic cover over the column. do i need a special tool, or what? can someone please help me.... thank you

Axle/Gears: 2.42 too high
that black plastic piece covers the steering wheel lock plate.
you can pry the plastic piece off of the lock plate & then you need a lock plate depressor.
there is some good info here which goes farther than what your doing, but you may want to go ahead & check the screws that cause a loose column as your going to be pretty close anyway.

also, if you have VATS on your car & haven't done it yet, you may want to replace the ignition lock cylinder & key at this time too.
