ok so my problem started when i was driving to tampa, all of a sudden my rpms dropped from 2200 to about 500 and did it about 3 times and the engine cut off. the lights would dim everytime the rpm's fluctuated. i tried to start it back up and turned over fine but the rpm's immediately droped and the engine cut off again. the only way i could keep the engine going is if i would hit the gas but i would have to let off and hit the gas again repeatedly and even then it would only hit about 2000 rpm's and when i let off it would shut off once again. if i held the gas pedal i would get no reaction. i tried replacing the fuel filter and that didnt help. next i tried the TPS and that didnt help either. a few people suggested the ignition. i replaced the ignition module and a slight difference but still the same prob of jumping rpm's then the cut off. they also suggested the coil and/or computer, but before i go spend money on other parts (since i am on a budget) is there anyone that has had these same problems and knows the solution?
