Battery ground connection...Help please
Ok when i rebuild my enigine i painted the block and my question is where the battery ground cable hooks up is on the side of the block, and my starter is acting like it doesnt want to engage fully somtimes. Do you think that the paint is giving it a bad connection?

It could be..Disconect the cable and sand down to bare metal and re-attach. It is important to have good grounds. Could also be that it is not shimed properly as well.

You don't need to sand, just run a tap down the threads of the bolt hole.

a tap is the tool that makes the threads in a hole. A die is the tool that makes threads on a bolt.
