If you're getting a good spark at the coil, just not all the way at the plugs, it's not any electronics, it's either in the distributor, cables or plugs.
You say you replaced everything in the high voltage path but still don't get spark at the plugs? That's very strange. But you can find the problem by method of elimination.
You can for example take every spark plug and put the coil wire on it and if it sparks, that plug is good. Do that for all 8 plugs to eliminate broken ones.
You can bypass the distributor and connect each plug wire to the coil and see if the other end sparks. Test all 8 wires this way. That will eliminate broken ones.
Make sure the rotor under the cap has a good springy contact and that it touches the cap center post. Make sure the rotor is long enough and not too worn and burnt.
In case you didn't know, when you turn the key on, the coil's primary side gets power. You can then ground the white wire on the coil primary to manually throw a spark on the secondary side. No need to crank the car.
Hope this helps.

Its always a good idea to start the car (at a minimum) every 30 days just to keep things from drying out or rusting.
I had a friend of mine who owned an 84 Trans Am and worked at a car dealership. He was able to drive company cars and parked the TA for a year. He then left the dealership and needed to drive the TA again..It started but had absolutely no power (could barely make it up a hill)...The problem? His exhaust had rusted so bad on the inside (especially the cat) that the car couldnt breath.
