Speedometer off - not sure if the right section
Like I said, I'm not sure if this is the right section for this or not, but my speedometer is off. Between 10-12% (reads 51 when I'm going 45, reads 30-31 when I'm going 27).
Now, is there any way to calibrate the speedometer? Would it just be easier to replace the VSS, or is it not possible for that to even be the problem? Last time I replaced a VSS was when my old 3rd gen's speedo stopped working completely.
I'm running 245/50r/16 tires, stock gears, so I'm relatively certain that's not the issue.
Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Re: Speedometer off - not sure if the right section
Looks like your running tires that are too small (25.6" TOTAL Diameter instead of 26" TOTAL Diameter). For a 16" rim, I "THINK" the size should be P235/55/16 or you can run Wide tires like P255/50/16 - but not wider or it will rub. I'm not sure if you can "Re-Calibrate" a stock speedometer or not to match your tire size. Hopefully, someone else can answer that part.

Are the 16" wheels stock to your car?

Ah crap, I just realized that. That was the first thing I checked, as what the stock tire size was, I just scanned over the '91 camaro tech data and saw 50r/16, not bothering to read it only came on certain 350 cars.
I have a 305. Haha, I should learn to read better.
Thanks for pointing out my laziness guys
And yes, JamesC, they're just the stock 5-spokes.
