won"t start

I have a 90 trans-am & its never failed to start, untill i parked it about a year ago. i have strated & moved its a few times in between. i put 2 new batteries in it, & it seems to kill them. started it again 3 weeks ago, tried yesteday, power to everything, turn the key & nothing happens, taped starter, & hand turned motor. any suggestions would be appreciated guys. thanks.

There is an orange heavy wire that comes from the starter to the battery. It has a fusable link [fuse] online. Bridge it and see if that helps. Otherwise the obdII security system is gone. It is what talks to your key. You would need a dealer to fix that one. Also the short that caused its failure. Might be pricey.

If it is vats. You could order the lock cylinder from the dearlership get them to match the ohms from your orginal key. And install the cylinder yourself or see if you can find someone to do it. The dealership usually want 300-600 bucks. I did everything for 150. Cylinger was 75 and labor was 75. There is another way but this is if you want to keep vats.

You will know if VATS is preventing startup by the 'security' light going out with key on.

well i just noticed, my security light on my dash is not comeing on. at all & still no nothing. i will look for vats fuse. ( anybody please, is there a relay pehaps under hood, also? heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp. thanks
