wiring problem

I've got an 88 GTA that had a 305 TPI in it originally. The PO blew it and pulled it, sold the original ECM and the wiring harness.

I purchased a 305 TPI complete with the wiring harness attached and the ECM from a 1987 IROC.

Problem, in 87 there is an additional pigtail with a 6 pin connector that has the two fuel injector wires that go to the engine and a tan/white wire that goes someplace.

Had to jumper 12v direct to the fuel pump and to the two FI lines to get it to start.

so... now it's running... most everything works with the three jumpers.

things that don't work are...

fuel gauge
cooling fans
alernator doesn't seem to charge
engine doesn't seem real happy.

my thoughts are that the c100 connector that goes through the firewall has a different pinout on the 87 verses the 88.

I've checked the ECM, and compared the elecrical schematic and they are basically the same.

I can't seem to find the pinout for the 87 IROC or the 88 GTA. I should have my service manual for the 88 GTA tomorrow but seems silly to purchase a service manual for the 87 IROC.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this or do you have or know where I can find the pinout for the c100 connector?

The other half of that connector is still in use from the original car/wiring.

Thanks in advance,

Robert
