V6 to V8 speedometer HELP???

Transmission: T-56
Axle/Gears: 4.10
V6 to V8 speedometer HELP???

I am changing my gauges from ( V6 ) TO ( V8 )!

i need to know a couple of thing?

will i need the wiring harness to the V8 gauges... an if i do were do they plugin at??

an Will i need the computer???

If they are from the same years, then just swap them. There is nothing extra needed. There is only 2 things you need to watch for.

1 - Make sure you swap in the correct speedo. Some were mechanical using a cable turned by the trans and some were electronic working off a pulse sent by the trans.

2 - Your Oil Pressure gauge may not read properly with the new one. Many V6 cars only had a "dummy light" oil pressure sender that basically just shows that there IS oil pressure and most V8 cars had a real oil pressure sender that changed its output based on how much pressure there is.
