i have a diagram for a 1988 + pull down but the pull down i have is from a 1987 car and the wiring is different then shown. anyone have a scan of the diagram? thanks

 

bump. i have a 1988 book with wiring diagrams and it show 3 wires going to the relay but my pull down from a 1987 has 4 wires going to the relay one is white and i dont know what its for. can someone scann and post a 1987 pull down wiring diagram thanks

However, what do you want to know? I just wired mine up (also 87)

An 87 diagram would be nice to have when I start playing with mine. I remember looking at my friends 89 and saying "What the ****!" while I was trying to get it to work. lol. Adam :-)

 

Do you have a cargo light in the hatch area? If not, then the wire doesn't go anywhere (extra) if so, it plugs to the cargo light. I fixed mine years ago, and I was wondering what the wire was for. I didn't have the cargo light in the hatch area.

 

i still need a diagram. the car im putting it in never had a pulled down i still dont know where the wires are that pop the hatch.

 

It's a 2 part system. One system pulls down the hatch which uses the relay. The second system uses an actuator that pops the trunk. I'll check to see if I have a wiring diagram for them. I thought 87 and 88 had the same system.

They are the same, only the wire coding is different over the years. There's 1 wire that may not be used, it's a short section w a black connector 9single wire), it's the switched ground (internally switched) for the cargo light so that it comes on when the trunk is popped open.
