Re: Starter slow when hot
How close does your exhaust run to your starter? My LT headers run right next to my starter and if I drive for a bit I usually have to let it cool down before I can try and start it. While looking around for solutions a guy at Jeg's told me to swap a ford solenoid to it and that would keep it away from the exhaust and working better. I'm going to see if I can't get some header wrap and maybe fab up some sort of shield for it first but I might be looking more into the method he went with. Said he had a BB running 9's on the spray and with that setup it turned over no problem no matter the situation. Let me know what you do and how it works.

Classic starter heat soak. In most cases they do not turn at all, and a tap with a wrench or hammer usually motivates it. I would definitely think about removing that boat anchor of a stock starter and put in a high torque mini starter. The size/weight difference alone is worth it, and it will sit farther away from hot exhaust components. Swapped to one myself for the very same problem you are having
