What are these 2 wires for????
Okay, So I recently swapped over from a 305 TBI to a 305 TPI, I swapped out the TBI engine for a TPI engine. I have a 305 TPI ECM running it and it still wants to stall and cut out. Also has a ruff Idle. I made sure MAF is good and everything. But I came to the conclusion that it may be something with these to wires that are not connected to anything. I know they have to do something but I couldn't figure out what they are for. They are from the wiring harness originally that had the TBI, it's from under the passanger dashboard under VIN E, Wires B(Pink/Blk) [the one on the right] and G(Pink/Blk) [the one on the left]. Help? I need to know what they do/ what they are for and where the are supposed to be connected?

Maybe something here will help - diagrams for almost all years, and shows wires from ECM:

It would also be advantageous to get a datalogging type set up, and watch all your sensors. If any sensors are not reporting (MAF, ign, etc) then you've got a pretty good guess. BTW, a stuck open EGR will make the car run rough at idle (almost sounds like it has a lopey cam in it) but that wouldn't explain the stalling out very well.

Sounds like he's running MAF. His name is IROC-z 89, but I didn't think you could get an IROC with the LO3.

Looks like they go to the following parts,
Air Select Valve
Canister Purge Valve
Air Diverter Valve
EGR Solenoid
Air Select Valve
Canister Purge Valve
Air Diverter Valve
EGR Solenoid
Re: What are these 2 wires for????
IROCs could be had with the LO3. Do a search of the history forum for more info
C207 pins B and G are the INJ1/2 fuses respectively. How you got it running short of these two wires is beyond me, and suggests more shenanigans under the hood
