Fully Mech/Vaccum Dist and Knock Sensor?

With a hei dist (non computer controlled) the knock sensor and est become useless, because if they sense knock and tell the computer to pull timing it wont happen since the dist is no longer computer controlled. Am I right?

Yes but if you had a non computer controlled ( carb ) engine setup you would probably remove the computer anyway

You're right unless it's using a 5 pin module.

Your going to have a problem if your trying to run a TBI unit with a vacuum advanced dist - the computer takes the info it gets from the sensors and adjusts fuel to the injectors. If running fuel injection you HAVE to have a computer controlled dist.

The 8366 is for computer-controlled setups, the 8362 Street-fire is for non-computer control.
