You only have a headlight relay if you’re stuck with the daytime “running” lights circuit, most of those cars are in Canada.

If the flicker is more like a steady on and off blink that means the circuit breaker which is located in the light switch is overloaded or defective.

If it really is a flicker like a loose wire you can wiggle wires in that area till you find the bad one.

You can determine if it’s overloaded by connecting an ammeter in line with the
12 AWG red wire going to it.

With the brights on, if you see more than 20 amps, something is tied or shorted to the circuit which isn’t supposed to be.

Re: Headlight Relay

That H4 upgrade may well be the cause of your "flicker". Your headlight switch can't handle the extra current draw of the brighter lights and its breaker trips until it cools down enough to complete the circuit once again.

There's a nice topic in the tech articles on the home page for upgrading your headlights. It includes how to add relays to your harness which will keep what you're experiencing from happening.

Go here..

https://www.thirdgen.org/headlightupgrade

There, you'll find how to build this upgrade to your headlight wiring harness...

Need More Dooor

The left and right headlight are doors are controlled by different parts of the module.

Either the module is defective or there is a break/bad connection in the wiring from pins 2C & 2D of the module to the left motor.
