Dimmer Switch?
I'm trying to look for a new dimmer switch for my 1989 camaro. mines crapping out; so i'm looking to get a new one. I got this.. never seen these in our cars...

The actual switch itself is located on the bottom of the steering column, above the brake pedal. The wiper arm at the steering wheel simply moves a rod in/out of the actual switch at the bottom of the column. The actual switch looks like:

Yours might just need adjusted - there are two small screws that hold it in place, loosen those slightly and push the switch up/down the column just a very small tad and retry. If you have a tilt wheel, set the tilt where you normally drive - it's virtually impossible to get the switch adjusted where it functions at all stages of tilt.
You can move the wiper lever while under the column and see the rod moving.
