need help with some wiring issues
Ok i have a few issues I need help with as I am going with all autometer guages in the near future. I also need to repin my 85 motor side C100 to my 87 harness as im pretty sure they wont line up properly. So here is what I need help on
Where can I get the tool or tools to repin my C100
How do I hook up the speedo to my T56 trans as I am going carb. I have alloys mechanical speedo gear mod done to it and I still have the VSS for it as well. Which one should I use.
Also can I eliminate the ECU stuff from the harness and the stock gauge set up wiring from the harness as well without screwing anything up
Thanks Guys

The ECM harness is seperate from the main engine harness. If you look closely you'll see that the ECM harness goes into the body at the passenger side, just in front of the passenger door. If you remove the ECXM and harness, be sure to plug the hole in the body. To repin the C100, you can buy a tool from Snap On. I bought the whole set so that I can repin almost every connector on almost every car.

Go to Snap On's website and do a search for electrical tools and terminal tools. That's how I found them. My dealer, bless his heart, didn't even know they exsisted and they aren't listed in their basic printed catalog. Once I found them, I ordered them from my dealer. Snap On is a jerk company. They let cusomers order from their website, cutting their own dealers out of the sale. Darnit though, they still make the absolute best tools in the world. Bastards. They've got about $100,000 from me so far.

Re: need help with some wiring issues
Oh sorry, I missed that part of the post. Yes, there is a two part connector that links the ECM harness to the interior vehicle harness. This connector is fairly easy to disassemble, allowing removal and repositioning of the pins. IIRC, this is connector C225 & C227???

Re: need help with some wiring issues
I noticed that the other day in my 89 harness that has 4th gen plugs on it from a 4th gen dash swap. I thought it was a 4th gen harness but after looking at a 87 harness a friend gave me its stock. I will trace them back and remove them as I dont need them as Im carb anyways. Thanks for all the info as well. im sure ill have more questions

Re: need help with some wiring issues
I have the TT12KT and the TT600 sets. IIRC, the TT12KT is cheaper and covers all GM connectors. The TT600 set are some nicely made tools and cover most connectors. There is another set that I have but it's not as useful as either of these two sets and I don't see it on their website.
