Best area to wire this in..

Hey all,

I got the VATS module here that mimics the pulse to kick everything on. Only problem is, all the threads I've managed to find say a certain number of wire (colored blue) to put it on. I am gathering it needs to go in between my ECC and the module that is buried in the dash.

The thing is.. in the harness going into my ECC there are about 5 blue wires and nothing is labeled, not even on the inside of the ECC. Am I SOL here or do I just need to locate the buried VATS box and then trace it back to the ECC? An idea that I don't have to do that would be optimal as I've read that is a real PITA.

Are the individual pins labeled up inside where the connector plugs in? I didn't look there. I don't have it with me here or I could look. haha

Re: Best area to wire this in..

those things are ment for a wide range of cars, each one has a different pin location on the harness. so thats why you get generic instructions. if youre bypassing VATS, you will also need to ground out the start enable relay for the starter to spin.

Re: Best area to wire this in..

Does that relay have a pin on the connector (I didn't see it on the pic) or is that part of that small little "junction" as I call it that mounts to the radiator support near the battery?

I get lost in all the relays these things have.
