grounds behind dash?

hey guys last night i was driving and the road was bumpy, well my lights headlights and cig lighter, and dome lights do not come on no more. but some times i start the car and the lights come back on temporarely. so i checked my fuses in the fuse box and they were good. i havent check all my grounds up front cause i cant find a good ground diagram. but i did read that theres some type of grounds behind my dash that i figured i should take a look at. well thanks guys.

Re: grounds behind dash?

so i searched a little more, and i came to the conclusion that the headlight control switch is bad, either that or my fuse for the 20 tail fuse. or jst a bad ground wire.so i shall see today!

Re: grounds behind dash?

sounds like the head light switch, and maybe a fuse for the cig lighter or a worn out receptacle. two separate issues

Re: grounds behind dash?

receptacle - an electrical (or electronic) fitting that is connected to a source of power and equipped to receive an insert

Re: grounds behind dash?

ok haha learned something new haha.
well i have bought two head light switches and they both were broke, first one i bought a oriellys and the other at advance but they both were made by the same company. im starting to think its a ground cause i opened my door and my dome came on after i drove with the hls on but no lights.
