tpi harness issue

ok techs. i have a problem. im doing a tpi conversion from a 91 tbi and have posted in the tpi section. it is a 92 speed density harness with no appearent modifications. i have no power what so ever. turn the key and nothing at all. no headlights, fuel pump, nada. with a test light im getting power to the harness. volt check shows 12 volts to the battery. fog lights run only from battery and work. so its not battery..
the connector near the battery with one orange and red wire was repaired. the orange wire was cut and repaired. after the factory connection there is power. i checked the plugs ins and dont see nothing. ground straps and connections are checked and secure.
fuse mounted near battery on the inner fender wall is good and getting power.
vats?
fusible link?
possible problem at the black plug near the master cylinder?
repin?

what am i missing?

Re: tpi harness issue

So, let me get this straight. You have have already installed the 92' tpi harness in the car with the tpi 1227730 ecm and proper prom (chip)?

Re: tpi harness issue

Even with no ECM plugged in and VATS on the fritz, it should still power up atleast the lights

You dont have 12v in all the right places. Check your fusible links again and make sure the two 12v wires near the battery are connected to a 12v source. You'll have to cut off the TPI specific connector

Re: tpi harness issue

it is the correct harness, ecm and chip according to the numbers. there is only one connector to the positive side cable. it has connection to the starter cable and to the alternator.
the connector to be removed is a plug in that has a red and orange wire, which i repaired the orange wire. that is to be removed?
i will double check the fusible links and grounds and post back.

Re: tpi harness issue

Both red and orange wires need to be connected to 12v source

Re: tpi harness issue

Check for 12v on the two big red wires at the C100 (near the booster)

They supply power to the IGN switch, fuseblock and light switch
