car doesn't turn on

i turn the key and there is nothing from the starter. checked all my wires as it was working before. as i had just done a auto to manual swap i checked the neutral safety switch. i have EBL installed so i connected my laptop and it shows that its in "D" drive so i clicked the switch but still shows im in "D" so i unplugged the switch and connected the two wires together but still the "D" stays on. so im guessing its not a power issue to the started but the computer thinking its in drive and not letting the car start. i followed the two wires to where i soldered them and no problems. i dont know where the purple and green (park/neutral switch wires) as it goes into the center console under the carpet. any help to what might cause this would be appreciated!

Because you removed the automatic you need to connect the purple wire and the tan wire with a White stripe, NOT the green wire.

Re: Swap & Shop

the two thick wires coming from the auto shifter were purple and green unlike purple and tan/white shown in the pics on this site. is the tan/white wire found somewhere else? the car was running for a week and a half wired like this and wouldn't turn on if the clutch wasn't depressed so im guessing my green wire=tan/white wire?? i didn't mix up the reverse light wiring.

It’s possible the PO changed some wires.

Re: Swap & Shop

i ended buying a mini starter and a heat shield. when the car was auto there were times my car wouldn't start unless i waited 10 min so maybe the starter just died. its a summit mini starter btw
