bad relay?

I had a wiring problem that i have managed to fix, was posted in the general engine tech area, however I think i may have a damaged blower hi/low relay

the relay hums rather loud, but when key is turned to on, or car is started it stops

also the lights around the heat controls are on all the time

did i fry the relay, think i had the one ground connected to 12+, are these symptoms of a bad hi/low blower relay or something else?

thanks in advance to all

It sounds like you might have pinched a wire allowing power getting to the relay coil when it’s not supposed to.

Use a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the wires going to it.

However be advised pin A, the
red wire is supposed to have power on it at all times.
