right turn signal wont work!

I have a 92 camaro and the right turn signal is not working. when you hit the switch it will light up on the dash and stay solid but wont flash. the front right turn signal dosent come on at all and the rear turn signal will come on but stay solid. I have replaced all the bulbs so its not a buld out. Also when i turn on the flashers they all work just fine. Any ideas on what this may be? please help

The turn signal relay? I guess its a relay or something...usually on the fusebox? I dunno for sure, but you didnt mention checking that

Re: right turn signal wont work!

There's a Flasher (little silver can shape, size of a C battery-ish) under dash. Not in fuse panel but to the right of the steering column, in my 87 anyway. Not sure if one side would work and not the other, if it's the flasher.

Re: right turn signal wont work!

You already named your problem: the front turn signal does not come on.
The flasher (no relay on our Chevies) is load-driven so if the load decreases, so does the flashing rate. And a bulb out usually causes the flasher to stall and stay on.

Since you checked the bulb and it's good, check the socket, its connections and especially the ground.

Let us know what you find.

Re: right turn signal wont work!

I am having somewhat the same issue. Hazards work all the way around but when i hit the signal it will flash intermittently or just stay on with no flashes. Bulbs work apparently considering the hazards so?

Re: right turn signal wont work!

I would replace the flasher as mentioned and clean the part the bulb goes into with something abrasive . Front and back. If that does not work replace the bulbs. Front and back
That give you a proses of elimination. Now if that does not work you can look somewhere else.
Each side of the cars flasher lights front and back are tied in together. If something goes wrong with the right front it will effect the right rear and vice versa.

Usually the curtice box is located under the dash just above your right leg. It swings open and down with hindges on the back. This is what it should look like. Just wiggle it a little and pull it strait out.
