Re: radio doesn't turn off

if your radio wont turn off your power button is broken or the red accessory power lead the red wire is hooked to a constant 12v not switched.

Wow that was impressive you pulled that up. I just seen that the remote power wire in the diagram goes to the ignition... I hope it's not that cus I didn't have that problem to the resistor in my key went bad i never un-hooked my headunit at all

Re: radio doesn't turn off

The resister in the key is just used to make the passkey module work and send the hz signal to the ecm to enable the injectors. Maybe your new ignition switch is not adjusted correctly.

Re: radio doesn't turn off

I couldn't edit my post. I just hope my ignition wire is not proving a constant 12v to the switch I never replaced the switch but I did remove the bottom panels to test the ignition wire with a meter. and beat on it with a hammerr.... to get my key out of the switch. but it always turned off now it's not -__-

disconnect you battery tonight so you don't kill your battery from the parasitic load.

Re: radio doesn't turn off

I just installed a new turn signal lever, dropped the steering column and push the wire down with a hanger wire. Turn signal and cruse control worked fine when I was done. I buttoned everything up and the radio all of a sudden will not turn off.

A buddy said there is some sort of adjustment to the steering column that can be turned that would remedy the problem. No idea what to look for.

I am guessing I messed something up when I changed the turn signal level and pushed that wire through.
