ok so im trying to clean up my engine bay and get rid of any unnecessary weight. thus far im traced back most if not all of the emission wires to where they enter the passenger side of the car. i have 2 questions.

the first question is can i remove the ESC thinger, and the 2 other gigantic relaying looking thingers thats are located on the driver side of the firewall near the brake booster? i tried to post a picture but it says "upload failed". i dont know why I'm having trouble posting pictures on this site. im running an msd hei distributor and a blaster 2 coil so i dont think the ESC is being used anymore especially considering the ecm was removed a long time ago.

my second question is how do i take apart the main connecter located inside the passenger fender well? i want to remove all the wires i dont need completely i dont want to cut and having the remains hanging around. it looks like i may have to remove the fender to get to it?

Would assume you have a carb now?
That sort of info and Year/ engine always helps when asking questions or fill in your profile so guys
don't have to guess what you have
If the ECM is gone then anything it controlled can be removed

Depends how you car was engineered with the carb swap?
Does it have a mech fuel pump now?,
Most use the stock fan and fuel pump relays rewired to work without the ECM to run them when fitting a carb

If it is a bulkhead connector there is a screw n the center of the plug

Sorry for the lack of info. yes the car is runnning on a carb now, its an 88 that originally came with a tbi set up. that set up and motor are long gone now. the only things i need power for are the lights, ignition, fuel, fan, and wipers.

it has an exteneral fuel pump located in the back of the car, and its powered from the fuse box.
