Headlights close fine, not opening.

Problem: '82 T/A lights not popping up- motors work great, however.

If I go ahead and turn on the lights, then manually raise the lights, and kill the lights, they'll go down in an instant.

I'm a little stumped, and searching has brought me no where.

I figured I'd see other's inputs on the matter; also, who're you rootin' for in the super bowl?

After a few hours of looking, I found this; and I've found that my isolation relay is clicking.

Alright, thanks me.

I'm such a great guy.

Let's see if this helps... tomorrow.

Guess not.

Anyone have a clue which connectors do what? (I'm sure you do)

I know that B is the power for running the motors down, but what are the others?

This would be a great help, anyone?

on my 89 they just reverse polarity mine failed to where both would close but only one would raise from the cost of the module 225 i just bought 2 toggle switches to reverse polarity was much cheaper and works no issue if you dont mind the custom wiring

Re: Headlights close fine, not opening.

I would need a schematic to help you but I had an intermittant issue with mine not working, and once i popped my hood to go turn them up manually they would pop up? I already rebuilt the motors a few years back with a kit from topdownsolutions and figured there was a loose connection somewhere else. I checked all the wiring and ended up trying this free fix after a couple nights of messing around. It ended up solving my issue of having to bang on the dash or slam a door to get my headlights to come on now and then.

Re: Headlights close fine, not opening.

The problem was; malfunctioning isolation relay. Seemed to work, however, did not send power properly.

Also, 2 bad actuator relays. If your lights close, that's cool and all, but that doesn't mean your actuator relays are any good.
