fuse by battery blew on me, is this related?

lol so today while i was waiting for food at mcdonalds my car shut off on me and i had to push it out of the drive thru line

Took me a while to figure it out but the fuse next to the battery ended up blowing.

about a week ago i decided to jumper my foglight switch due to one of the wires not getting 12v, and have been running my foglights like this for a few days.

Can anyone tell me if the foglight switch wiring is in anyway connected to the fuse by the battery?
After this im kinda hesitant to run the fogs, but am not sure if there is any correlation, since its been about a week now and they seemed fine aside from the .7 idle voltage drop

If its not at all related to the fogs, what can i check that might of caused the fuse by battery to blow?

really appreciate any help guys thanks

Do you know where that fuse by the battery goes to? Usually, that will trace will the problem is coming from along that wire.

Hi John,
the fuse by the battery powers your ECM, MAF relays and of course the fuel pump, which explains why your engine died when the fuse blew.
Either of the relays or the fuel pump itself could have caused the fuse to pop. You won't know until it pops several times and you find the common denominator.

All lights are on a different circuit which is separate from the ECM and fuel pump power feed.

Hope this helps.
Lou
