Car: 1992 Camaro RS

Engine: 5.0L TPI

Transmission: 5-speed

Tachometer distributor connection

My tachometer has been off by about 1000-1500 rpm since I replaced it about a year ago. I heard that there are two connections for the tach on the back of the distributor and you have to chose the right one. Can anyone else verify this before I dig into my engine bay, and if it is true can anyone tell me what each connection is for?

you might want to state what year your car is and engine, Just a guess this is a 92 maybe tbi or tpi it is the white wire on the ignition coil.

I'm sorry I don't know why I didn't put that in my post. It's a 1992 TPI. I read that the error in reading may be a problem with the capacitor or resistors on the circuit board, I just want to make sure its not something simpler before I tear into the gauge cluster.
