Battery Cable Help

Alright, so to make a long story short, I ruined my positive battery cable and needed to know If anyone sells replacements with the fusible link for my 86 firebird. I tried looking through the forums but couldn't find many answers. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Battery Cable Help

Have you tried bringing yours into an auto parts store? Make sure what they provide is the same thickness (gauge) and length. Many are thinner and not worth buying. From what I've read, it doesn't look like the cable typically includes the fusible links.

Not sure if this is your cup of tea but this is what I was thinking of when the time comes. There is some info on fusible links as well if you read through it.
If you do go custom, I'd recommend getting one a little longer in case you upgrade to a mini starter later on.
