Left ignition on overnight ?

It ran the battery down, so I have it charging now. Will this affect anything else ? all the dash lights come on as normal but I haven't started it yet as it's still charging.

Edit: Actually, I think it was just left in so the hand brake light was on.... and not turned to the run possition.

No different than running the battery down any other way.

No, unless a light burned out. It'll be fine.

I used to have a C6 corvette. I parked it for the winter and 6 weeks later it was dead as a door nail. I guess the smart key receiver keeps searching for the transmitter which was hanging by the car so it killed itself. Put it on the charger overnight and it fired right up. No issues except I had to reset the TPMS and window indexing.

Re: Left ignition on overnight ?

Thanks for the replys, growing up with the old points ignitions they dislike being left on, the coil would get hot.

It fired right up after a good charge and ran good in the cool night air.
