Axle/Gears: 3.27 POSI 9 BOLT
hot wire when key is turned on
Was trying to find what wire is soot to splice into that is hot when I turn the key? 1986 trans am

That's quite vague. Any wire is safe to splice, the problem is, what are you adding to the circuit ? If what your adding is to big a draw on the circuit, you'll just pop fuses or smoke the wiring.

It is for a guage... I need it turned on when the car is on but off when the car is off.

Gages, radio, wiper, htr a/c, c/h fan, turn b/u fuses are all ign switched
If you look at fuse panel, there's a empty terminal labeled ign, you can stick a male spade terminal in as well iirc
