Does anyone know what wire has 12v when the engine is running? Or how I can get a wire that has 12v when engine is running? Thanks

Re: 12v when engine is running
I'm looking to run my dual electric fans when the engine is running only. Because right now if the engine is warmed up to temp the fans will stay on when the ignition is on the "on" position. I need a 12v wire when engine is running so I can run that to the fan relay so it only comes on with when the engine is running

The fan relays arepa the bulkhead next to your master cylinder.
Assuming this is tpi the primary fan is controlled bye the ECM and the secondary is controlled bye d11 of the ECM or when the ac is commanded on or if the cylinder temp switch between cylinder 6&8 hits 228f and grounds the fan relay. Wiring it back to stock would be advisable. If this is tbi you just have the secondary wiring circuit without ECM control.iirc on 89 gm went to better relays with weather pack connectors previous years had relay connection issues melting the wires at the relay. Swapping to the newer relay pigtails is a great upgrade.
