87 dizzy to 85 wiring

85 z28 305tpi changed to a 350 tpi. the 350 came out of a 87 ta.The block casting date is 88 though. has the small dizzy and v belt stuff. the 85 stock wiring is for the larger dizzy with the coil in cap. I think this is my last hurdle. I gota get either the wiring changed or the dizzy. the gear on a carb dizzy looks just like the gear on the small cap 350 dizzy. I'm hoping I can just change the conectors on the 85 harness and drop the motor in.Help!

Re: 87 dizzy to 85 wiring

Iirc the wires from the 85-86 large cap are the same color as the 87-92 small cap connecter.

Iirc two wires switch position on the icm it's been awhile since I have made the conversion pigtails.
